On 22 April 2017 (12am-7pm) a very special event will be taking place in Münster. An event which 29 German Toastmaster clubs have been looking forward to for months.
The 20 best speakers of the Division A Toastmasters from North-Rhine Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg und Schleswig-Holstein will be competing on the stage of the Friedenskapelle (Chapel of Peace) Loddenheide. Following qualifying rounds at club and federal state level, you will be able to hear speeches in these four categories:
1. German speech contest
2. International speech contest in English
3. German evaluation contest
4. International evaluation contest in English
The winners of our event in Münster will qualify for the European Championship on 19 and 20 May 2017 in Berlin. So secure your seat in the front row and support the participants!

The Chapel of Peace (Friedenkapelle) and the Peace Park are situated on a business estate in the south-east of Münster.
The Loddenheide business estate is serviced by lines 6 (direction Hiltrup) and 8 (direction Wolbeck). The buses depart in front of the trainstation from „gate C2“.
Get off the bus at “Willy-Brandt-Weg”. The travel time is around 10 min.
To walk from the bus stop to the „Friedenskapelle“ you need less than 5 minutes.

Alternatively you can catch a taxi for the 3 kilometres the the venue.
Coming from the south (by car), leave the A 1 / A 43 at the junction Kreuz Münster Süd and take the B51 ring road towards Zentrum / Halle Münsterland. After the bridge over the canal turn left onto Albersloher Weg towards Beckum. Follow this road for approx. 1 km, then turn right onto Willy-Brandt-Weg (3rd set of traffic lights).
Coming from the north (by car), leave the A 1 at the exit Münster Nord and follow Steinfurter Strasse towards Münster city centre. After entering the city, turn left at the traffic lights onto York-Ring. Follow the Ring for approx. 4 km and from Hansaring turn left onto Alberloher Weg. Follow this road for approx. 2 km, past Halle Münsterland and the gasometer, then turn right into Willy-Brandt-Weg.

We prepare a guest list an want to make sure to have enough chairs on-hand.
We would like round off the event with a glass of wine and a pizza at a nearby Italian restaurant. To enable us to book the right number of tables, please let us know when you register whether you would like to join us directly after the event on Saturday evening.
If you have purchased a reduced-price ticket, you will need to present valid student or senior citizen ID on the day of the event.

Taking on responsibility
We would greatly appreciate it if you could support us in the running of the contests by agreeing to be a judge. Judges must be active members of Toastmasters. Further requirements for this role are:
You must have completed at least 6 speeches from the Competent Communication manual. You may only be a judge for a contest speech, if there are no speakers from your own club in that particular category.
